The River: Will Harriet Khoza help Lindiwe?
We’ve witnessed another week of thrilling action on The River. We saw drama on different sides of the show; from Lindani and Nomonde’s strained relationship, to Zolani and Lindiwe’s sad reality. We even watched as an old friend made an unexpected return to the show. Let’s get you up to date.
Lindani dumps Nomonde
The miners attacked Nomonde and tied her up after she told them that it could take six months to a year before they get mining rights to Refilwe. They even beat Lindani up while he was trying to protect her. Fortunately for them, things didn’t end too badly because Zweli walked in and saved the day.
However, it seems like surviving the horrific attack wasn’t enough to save the couple’s relationship. Lindani was overwhelmed by it all and decided to end things with Nomonde, even though he still loves her. He told her that they come from different worlds and he doesn’t expect her to live a life that is beneath her. In their case, love is just not enough.

Heartbreak is probably just what Nomonde needed because she had time to think and decided that it was time to step down as CEO of Khanyisa Diamonds. She told her family that it’s time to look for someone with more experience to take over.
Cobra gets a new car, but not everybody is happy
Although Paulina snitched on Cobra and his business partners, that didn’t really make much of a difference because Tshabalala is a corrupt cop. After Paulina told him what Cobra, Dora and Percy were up to, the policeman met up with Dora and she gave him some money. As things stand, Cobra and his corrupt friends are still in business. But things won’t be easy for them because Paulina is still watching them. He warned Cobra about his shady dealings and told him to stop stealing money.
Paulina is not the only person on Cobra’s back. One of his old friends, Oupa, is back in the picture and he also wants a piece of the pie. After Cobra showed off his new car, his former partner in crime showed up and caused quite a stir.
Cobra and Percy owe Oupa… They owe him a lot #TheRiver1Magic

Lindiwe has had enough
Meanwhile, not too far from Cobra’s house, Lindiwe is living a nightmare. The former mining mogul has been staying with Flora, the same woman who used to work for her. Lindiwe and Zolani have been living like poor people for weeks and it looks like she has had enough of that life. She told her nephew that she can no longer take this “church lady” life and wants to get back on her feet.
She even mentioned that she’s been praying for a while and if Jesus doesn’t come down to change things, he’ll regret it. What a funny woman.
But Lindiwe you're also poor 🤷♀️ #TheRiver1Magic pic.twitter.com/swfDtXPCYQ

To show just how tired she is, Lindiwe has decided to reach out to her bestie Harriet Khoza, who, by the way, is also dealing with her own mess at the moment. We can’t wait to see how this will turn out.
