The Temptation Island South Africa Reunion brought all the drama

The four core couples and a few of the hot singles join host Phat Joe in studio for a reunion like no other in episode 13 and 14 of Temptation Island South Africa. The cast are dressed to the nines, the gloves are off, and they’re ready to tell-all at the two-part event.

As it’s revealed at the reunion, much of the drama transpired after filming. For starters, a fan-favourite couple split, another got engaged, and a couple that seemingly ended their romance at the final bonfire allegedly rekindled their romance off-camera. Oh, the drama…

Besides clearing the air and resolving matters at the reunion, there are countless back-and-forth arguments, and a scuffle breaks out. Let’s get into the two-hour extravaganza.

Warning: Spoilers ahead for the 13th and 14th episodes of Temptation Island South Africa (the Temptation Island South Africa Reunion.

There’s no love lost between Nthabi and MJ

When we last saw MJ and Nthabi at the final bonfire, they ended their relationship on a sour note. They couldn’t salvage their romance after he betrayed her by establishing a relationship with Bontle. As a result, Nthabi left paradise alone and MJ left with Bontle.

There’s still animosity between Nthabi and MJ, and it continues to play out at the reunion – they can’t stop throwing jabs at each other. Things take a turn for the worst when MJ continues to rub Nthabi the wrong way: first when he expresses that he’s moved on to “better” with Bontle, and soon after when he refers to his ex-girlfriend as a “man”. Nthabi is beyond rattled!

The encounter intensifies, and Nthabi reveals that after filming, MJ continuously stalked and harassed her. While MJ denies the accusations, Nthabi shocks everyone in studio when she claims that MJ “cheated” on Bontle with her. The argument gets so heated between Nthabi and MJ that Phat Joe is forced to intervene.

MJ versus CeeJay

Next, Nthabi’s suitor, CeeJay, is brought into the conversation, and a fight breaks out between CeeJay and MJ. What starts off as a silly disagreement between the men quickly turns physical. MJ and CeeJay push each other.

At some point, the cast members intervene and pull CeeJay and MJ apart. To ease the situation, Nthabi steps in and gives CeeJay a talk. We need a time-out for these men.

Unfinished business between Angelique and Justin?

Estelle and Justin’s excitement regarding their marriage plans is short-lived when hot single Angelique reveals that after filming the reality show, she met with Justin at a park and they kissed. Estelle and the crowd go wild.

Justin refutes the allegations, setting Angelique off. “So nothing happened?” probes Angelique. “You didn’t complain to me about Estelle, and tell me how much she disrespects you? [Justin], didn’t you tell me that you love me, and didn’t you call me your wife at some point?” adds Angelique while looking Justin in the eye and without breaking her stare.

It’s not that Angelique is out to stir trouble in Justin and Estelle’s relationship – she feels played and she wants Justin to own up to his alleged disloyalty. “Temptation is temptation. At the end of the day, the only thing with Justin is that he responded when there weren’t cameras and that’s a no-go. Don’t do that because it’s a lie,” says Angelique in closing.

It’s over between Precious and Grant

After the show, Precious and Grant grew apart, leading them to split. While they were separated at paradise, Precious reveals that she “found herself”, and the new version of herself was no longer compatible with Grant.

“I don’t think that it was beneficial to our relationship to come [to Temptation Island SA] because I feel that it ruined our relationship,” says Precious.

Sifiso in the hot seat

The last couple to join Phat Joe on the green velvet couch are Sifiso and Musa. Musa reveals that she was hurt while watching the show as Sifiso led on plenty of women at the men’s villa, and he fell for Eve and Dimpho.

But the most shocking event of the evening is when Dimpho maintains that she kissed Sifiso. Again, he denies the allegations, which angers Dimpho. “We kissed in the bathroom, away from the cameras and it was your idea,” says Dimpho.

Musa supports Sifiso, and she even suggests that Dimpho is lying because “[Dimpho] was drunk, remember?” says Musa. The revelations come before Musa and Sifiso announce their engagement – and it’s just awkward in studio.

What a night! We can’t wait for a saucy Season 2.
