Tyler Perry’s Acrimony (2018)

Taraji P. Henson stars as Melinda, the very definition of a woman scorned, in this thriller that represents a departure for Tyler Perry from his usual comedy genre. After supporting her feckless, sometimes incarcerated, husband for years, Melinda is delighted when he turns his life around and comes into some money. But her joy is short-lived when she realises that he’s also conducting a secret affair. The film charts her emotional spiral from love to despair, to anger and thirst for revenge.
