We were at the Roast of AKA and it was on fire
The audience went wild as the burns kept coming at the official Comedy Central Roast of AKA presented by Showmax, at the Teatro at Montecasino on 21 February. Comedian Jason Goliath, one half of the (in)famous Goliath & Goliath duo, set the scene as he picked out – and picked on – some of the more famous faces in the audience, who included DJ Fresh, The Voice judge Riky Rick, and Instagram star LaSizwe, who arrived rocking a pink wig and little black number that earned him appreciative snaps from the crowd.
Speaking of LBDs, Roast Master Pearl Thusi stepped onto stage channelling Queen B in a sparkling black one-piece that left nothing to the imagination. The first black African woman to be a Roast Master brought the fire, dishing out zinger after zinger aimed at both panellists and the man of the moment: AKA the Supa Mega.
Did we mention that AKA arrived on stage with a full choir, all rocking his trademark sunnies? Now that’s how you make an entrance, people.

Feeling the burn
So how did it all go down? Who dished out the most heat, and who went down in flames? You’ll have to wait for the 100% uncensored version that’s coming to Showmax on 12 March.
I feel so bad for the editing team ya @ShowmaxOnline – yoh, the #roastofaka was so messy😂😂😂
But had tons of fun! @akaworldwide @PearlThusi @THATninahastie— KayBee (@Kobela92) February 21, 2019
