Gomora’s hotting up: Buhle’s sexy pics and more catfights

Not at home weekday nights to catch up with the Gomora characters on Mzansi Magic? That’s okay because you can stream recent episodes on Showmax. So there’s no excuse for missing the drama, action and comedy capers on this hit new telenovela.

Mamma always told me

It’s been a while since Zodwa had viewers laughing and actress Sannah Mcunu’s comic timing is perfect in episode 94. With all the horrible headlines in the real world, a good laugh always helps, as Zodwa walks into the Dlamini kitchen while her son Teddy is having breakfast with Ntokozo and Ntokozo’s school security guard uncle, Mohato.

“I’ve been looking for you for ages,” starts Zodwa staring at Mohato, adding, “Have you heard?” Before she can say another word, and before he can be blamed for anything, no-good Mohato quickly says, “No, it wasn’t me. These boys can vouch for me!”

The comedy exchange is brilliant. “It wasn’t you?” asks a confused Zodwa. “What are you talking about?” Mohato asks the same, “What are you talking about?” Clearly their lines are crossed. Zodwa explains, “I’m talking about a ghost that was at school last night. Red and yellow lights were flashing and strange music was playing. Teddy, my son, you’re retiring from school.” The more Zodwa talks, the more you know that Teddy and Ntokozo are hiding something from her. Shame – she’s so clueless about the boys’ misbehaviour on school grounds the night before.

Skin surprise

Episode 95 starts off on a raunchy note as Teddy walks into Ntokozo’s bedroom after showering. He’s looking at his phone and the “yoh yoh yoh” followed by “your girlfriend sent me a picture” says it all. The look of surprise on Ntokozo’s face is hilarious as he realises what photos Buhle has sent to Teddy’s phone.

Teddy see's Buhle's nudes on Gomora Mzansi

“You see… she says I must show you,” continues Teddy. Racy selfies are nothing new in society and you just know what’s coming next.

Teddy hands the phone to Ntokozo, who looks at the pic and turns to his foster brother and, putting on his protective boyfriend tone, asks: “Tell me, bro – did you look at them?” Innocent Teddy is quick to counter, “Did you see those pictures? Those are nudes. She’s butt naked.” Both boys seem a bit lost for words, although Ntokozo does manage “My girlfriend is so hot!” Now the only question is whether these very private pics are going to leak.

Fighting words

It wouldn’t be an episode of Gomora if sisters Thathi and Pretty didn’t clash. And they do it more viciously than usual in episode 95 when Thathi makes a snide remark, “Isn’t it too early to be cooking?” as she walks into the kitchen. It’s not like Pretty gave her reason to be mean – they just hate each other as siblings. “What? Is there a problem?” asks Pretty with an arrogant look on her face, holding a big sharp knife. It’s not like she’s going to physically attack Thathi with the blade, so flashy Thathi is safe with her sarcastic reply: “You can cook whatever you want to. But those tomatoes and peppers must go back in the fridge. You made the rules, missus. You decided to break the family up again.”

Thathi isn’t done either, continuing to tear into her sister, “Hypocrite, much? You come up with your crazy rules and you’re the first one to break them.”

We all know it’s not some fruit and veg they’re fighting over. It’s far deeper. Thathi blames her sister for destroying their family. It’s not the first time Pretty has torn them apart, but, if Thathi has her way, it’ll be the last time. “You can’t accuse me of murder and witchcraft and then eat the food that I bought for my family. Never!” before storming out, leaving Pretty stunned.
