In the near future, Los Angeles has descended into chaos over the privatisation of water. Fortunately for the criminals who run the show, if something goes wrong and they are injured, they can go to the Hotel Artemis, a secret hospital for the underworld.
Jodie Foster plays Jean Thomas, the nurse who’s been running the Hotel without ever leaving it for 22 years. But her strict and ordered existence starts to fall apart when warring crime lords are admitted at the same time.
