Ambitions S1
Politics, manipulation, power and love come into play in Ambitions, an Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) drama series set in Atlanta that follows the rivalry between two brilliant attorneys Amara (played by Essence Atkins, Are We There Yet?, Marlon) and Stephanie (Robin Givens, Riverdale), former college best friends who meet again after Amara and her husband move back into town to start afresh.
While Amara is now a successful Assistant US Attorney, Stephanie is a top-notch lawyer at her family-owned prestigious law firm.
Ambitions unleashes drama, secrets and complicated relationships as it lets us into the professional and personal lives of some of Atlanta’s most powerful. It turns out that Amara’s husband, Titus, is Stephanie’s former lover whom she might not be over even though she’s now married (a union of convenience) to Atlanta Mayor Evan (Brian White, Scandal, Ray Donovan) who’s keeping a mistress on the side.
Now Stephanie will stop at nothing to be close to Titus and take him back from Amara. And fate might just be on her side as her firm goes head to head with a major pharmaceutical company who have just hired Titus as their lawyer. On the other hand, Amara is investigating Stephanie’s husband Evan for money laundering and embezzlement.
