Baby Drama S1
Africa Magic is serving fresh entertainment with the launch of their latest telenovela, Baby Drama — available express on Showmax. It is a story about the cultural impacts of motherhood on women; it explores the myths, cultural nuances and mental stress attached to delayed childbirth, surrogacy, infertility and more.
Baby Drama centres on five women — Kese, Iye, Oni, Esosa and Amara — from different backgrounds and in various careers but connected by the impact of a baby or lack of one in their lives. Esosa, in particular, is more dramatic about having a child, so much it frustrates her husband.
“Baby Drama will take viewers on an emotional rollercoaster as they get immersed in the lives of the characters, their relationships, and their journeys to parenthood,” Channel Director, Africa Magic, Wangi Mba-Uzoukwu said on the premiere of the show. “We’re excited about this new series, and we are sure our viewers will be entertained by the stellar cast and excellent storytelling we are known for”
The 13-episode series is created by Emem Mba and has a starry cast featuring Joseph Benjamin, Bimbo Akintola, Uru Eke, Beverly Osu, Bikiya Graham-Douglas, Wale Ojo, Nengi Adoki and Anee Icha. Baby Drama aires at 9pm WAT every Wednesday on Africa Magic Showcase, and new episodes drop on Showmax simultaneously.
