Baywatch (2017)
You don’t have to wear a badge to save the bay, at least, not in 2017’s R-rated action comedy Baywatch, based on the mega-hit 90s TV series. Starring alongside Dwayne Johnson, Alexandra Daddario and, of course, David Hasselhoff, Zac Efron won the 2017 Teen Choice Award for Choice Movie Actor: Comedy.
The movie also won a Razzie, to be fair, but it was the “So Rotten You Loved It” Award, and given that the original series was at one time the most-watched television series in. the. world (averaging 1.1 billion viewers a week) despite consistently negative reviews … we’d say that’s exactly what Baywatch is all about.
