Diiche: Chinyere Wilfred spills the tea on becoming Kessandu Anyanwu
Diiche, the first Showmax Nigeria Original limited series, is a first-rate thriller featuring car chases, bare-knuckle fights, endless plot twists and much more.
Among the wide range of cast is Nollywood veteran, Chinyere Wilfred, who has featured in over 200 movies.
Chinyere Wilfred is a Nigerian actress and entrepreneur who debuted in Nollywood with the film Taboo in 1993, but entered mainstream with her role in the movie Ripples.
The multiple award-winner has won Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards, Best Actress of the Year at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, Best Actress in a Leading Role at the Best of Nollywood Awards and the Best Actress in Nigeria at the Golden Icon Movie Academy Awards.

A 6-part psychological thriller, Diiche centres around an actress who goes to great lengths to vindicate herself from the web of the high-profile murder investigation into the death of Nnamdi, her fiancé.
Directed by James Omokwe, Tolu Ajayi, Fiyin Gambo, and Ifeoma Chukwuogo, Diiche also stars Efa Iwara, Daniel K Daniel, Uzoamaka Onuoha, Kalu Ikeagwu and Gloria Anozie-Young.
Chinyere, who plays the role of no-nonsense Kessandu, mother of Diiche says she is glad to be a
part of a unique story which features an array of stars which she refers to as the “clash of the titans”.
“I loved it when I saw it. I wanted to be part of it and told myself so. The story is unique and something different from my usual character. It’s a beautiful story, and I’m glad I’m part of it.”
