Diiche episode 3 recap: Is Diiche Anyanwu a witch?
Today’s episode of Diiche opens with Jimi being escorted to the police station in handcuffs. The consequence of running from the police. Every Nigerian knows you don’t run from the Nigerian police, you wait and allow them to do their thing.
At the station, he meets Diiche. She came to inform the police about the man in the hoodie who tried to break into her car.
“Why is she here?” Jimi asks inspector Kazeem, who wonders why he is worrying about Diiche while under arrest for murder.
When Diiche asks the inspector about Jimi, he wonders about their mutual concern for each other. “Who is he closer to, you or Nnamdi?” he asked her about Jimi. It is a question we, the viewers, are also interested in, because, if Jimi loves Diiche more than his best friend, then maybe, he did it.
The business partners had fought before Nnamdi’s death. They disagreed on business decisions, especially the shady dealings between Nnamdi and Ichie G-Money, but mostly his maltreatment of Diiche. And Nnamdi confirmed what we are starting to believe: Jimi loves Diiche. But enough to kill Nnamdi?
Also, what exactly is special about Diiche that two close friends will fight over her? We got an idea when Nnamdi’s mum locks her in a room with a dibia, who tries to perform a spell on her. But it backfires when Diiche summons something powerful within her. It is unclear if she’s a witch or a spirit, but whatever she is scared the life out of the dibia. It is clear there’s something wrong with her with the constant headaches and voices inside her head, but this episode reveals something powerful and maybe sinister lives inside her.
Now the question is, how does supernatural Diiche concern Nnamdi’s murder? We will get closer to the answer next Thursday when episode four of Diiche drops on Showmax.
