Glee S1-6
Hands up those who love singing and dancing! That’s the deal with musical dramedy Glee (2009-2015) as it follows the ups and downs of the teachers and students in the Glee club at William McKinley High School.
It’s not just about singing and dancing, however. Idealistic teacher Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison) inspires his misfit kids to have fun and use their time in class as a break from their lives that hold them down – something that a lot of school kids in the modern world could use.
It’s fun and silly but with life lessons that are relevant years later. Glee was created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, the guys responsible for American Horror Story.
“Let’s give Glee credit for what it does well. It showcases talented kids who love singing. Some of the lessons it offers are encouraging. Kids’ relationships with their parents and other authority figures are often positive. All of them are pushed to follow their dreams and be themselves – good advice,” reviews pluggedin.com’s TV team.
