HBO’s hotly anticipated series Euphoria coming to Showmax
It’s one of the most talked-about shows right now. HBO’s new series Euphoria will take an unflinching look at the dark side of being a teenager, addressing tough topics like addiction and recovery, sexual identity and trauma. It’s going to be incredible – and it’s coming to Showmax from 15 July.
Zendaya (Shake It Up, Spider-Man: Homecoming, The Greatest Showman) sheds her musical skin to play Rue Bennett, a 17 year-old recovering addict who has to navigate the pressures of high school and recovery.
The series has been lauded for casting transsexual actor Hunter Schafer as Jules, a trans girl who befriends Rue.
But while it’s already got critics excited, Zendaya herself warned fans that some of the content could be triggering for sensitive viewers.

While Euphoria will no doubt be difficult to watch at times, it will also be one of those series everyone will be talking about for months to come. Join the conversation from 15 July.
