Impractical Jokers: The Movie (2020)
Reality series Impractical Jokers go the extra mile with Impractical Jokers: The Movie. And it does exactly what it says on the box: bigger better badder practical jokes.
Remember how shows like Punk’d had us laughing the early 2000s? There’s a new group of practical jokers on the prowl and they’re taking their hit reality show Impractical Jokers on the road for more merry mayhem.
There is something of a plot – the awesome foursome are invited to a party by musician Paula Abdul 25 years after gate-crashing and ruining her concert. But there’s a catch – she’s only giving them three tickets. They’ve got to drive cross-country to get there and end up playing pranks on unsuspecting people along the way, with the loser not going to Paula’s party.
Everything from delivering a eulogy, to pretending to be a man who’s lived in a cave for over 25 years is on the cards; nothing is out of bounds for them as they desperately try to win their mini contest. There are a couple of cameos (Jaden Smith, Paula Abdul herself…) and loads of laughs. This isn’t just a spur-of-the-moment thing – it was well planned and filmed and you know effort’s gone into it. Perfect if you need a pick-me-up laugh-a-thon.
