Jan Braai vir Erfenis S1-11
Jan Braai (real name Jan Scannell) is the man behind National Braai Day (24 September), so you know he really loves his boerewors and coals.
Even South Africa’s most famous people love Braai Day. Archbishop Desmond Tutu said: “What Jan Scannell had in mind with the Braai Day initiative… is nurturing and embracing a common South African culture, which is shared across all races and genders. Not one South African person can tell you that they have never witnessed a braai. Even in rural areas they light a fire and put their meat on it to cook.”
Jan and his team have been travelling around South Africa, celebrating some truly beautiful spots and the common culture of food and fire that binds us all. Catch up on all the previous seasons on Showmax and watch new episodes express from kykNET.
