Julia S1-2
Based on the true story of trailblazing TV chef Julia Child, Julia enters its second and final season with Julia returning from France to discover that her success has changed everything, and the kitchen just got a whole lot bigger.
Sarah Lancashire (Happy Valley) returns in her BAFTA-nominated title role alongside the likes of Emmy winners David Hyde Pierce (Frasier’s Dr Niles Crane), Bebe Neuwirth (Cheers’ and Frasier’s Dr Lilith Sternin) and Judith Light (Transparent, Who’s the Boss?), Emmy nominee Isabella Rossellini (Blue Velvet), and Nigerian-American award winner Tosin Morohunfola (Run the World, Lawmen: Bass Reeves).
Emmy winner Rachel Bloom (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) and Tony winner Danny Burstein (Tick, Tick… Boom!) join the cast this season, with guest appearances from Emmy nominee Hannah Einbinder (Hacks) and Oscar nominee Stockard Channing (The Good Wife, Grease), among others.
Julia is created by Emmy nominee Daniel Goldfarb (The Marvelous Mrs Maisel), who was nominated for a Writers Guild of America Award for the show, which also picked up a nomination for Best Television Series, Drama at the Satellite Awards.
The series has an 8.2/10 score on IMDb, and on Rotten Tomatoes, Season 2 has a rare 100% critics’ rating, with the critics’ consensus saying, “Julia’s deuxième cours is a delectable trifle that viewers will savour.”
