Little Problems
Little Problems follows Derek Onuoha (Godwin Namboh, Potomanto, Freetown), a young eager-to-please lawyer who is tasked with handling a “little problem” by his dismissive boss just after being denied a promotion. It turns out the little problem is his boss’ illegitimate son from Lagos (Bayo) who’s he’s supposed to pay off to go away.
But Bayo isn’t Derek’s only problem. He’s just settled another “little problem” for his boss which denied justice to a sexual harassment victim. He’s been denied a promotion that he’s been toiling for years to get. And he discovers that his girlfriend Elikem’s childhood friend she’s planning to host for the night is actually a man – a tiny thing she forgot to mention. Oh, did we mention that his girlfriend’s snobbish cousin can’t stand him? He just can’t seem to catch a break.
Well until they all decide to play a game of truth or dare that turns a tension-filled situation to a night filled with some bold risks and fun that ends in a surprising twist.
Look out for a brief appearance by AMVCA and Africa Movie Academy Awards winner Chris Attoh (Tinsel, Potato Potahto), in a scene that can only be described as “odd and hilarious.”
Princess Fathia Nkrumah, Thandie B, Rock William and Jeffrey Forson (Before the Vows) star alongside Onuoha. Little Problems is directed by award-winning short film writer-director Gene Adu and is produced by actress and filmmaker Sika Osei who also stars in the film.
