Watch: Crime and Justice Season 2 from 21 February 2022.
It’s case that’s been ripped from the headlines, and touches on topics that Kenyans are familiar with: the common practice of keeping a mistress, as well as femicide and gender-based violence.
“How she (Makena) feels about this case is exactly how I felt when I was reading everything about this story online and watching it in the news,” says Sarah Haasan, who plays Makena.
“It’s a good thing to be able to portray what a lot of people, including me, were feeling about this particular situation. At least Makena is in a situation where she gets to do something about it, to some extent. We see her going above and beyond to try and get justice for Abuya.”
Let’s go behind-the-scenes on this case of Crime and Justice.
