Precious kisses and a walkout in Episode 7 of Temptation Island SA
The appeal of a reality dating show is that viewers experience the chemistry, thrill and even heartbreak with the cast in real-time. Like a fly on the wall, those watching at home are part of the conversation.
It’s clear that the core couples and the hot singles are growing closer to each other by their fourth dates in Episode 7 of Temptation Island South Africa. They let their guards down, leading to jaw-dropping moments such as an unlikely couple sharing their first kiss, a hot single lady pulling back from her suitor, and one man walking away from their date midway through a wine-tasting session. Things are steaming up in Paradise. Let’s break down the episode.
Warning: Spoilers ahead for the 7th episode of Temptation Island South Africa!
Bonfire time!
As usual, the episode begins with another bonfire meeting. The four men are anxiously waiting to be shown clips of their girlfriends’ time in the women’s villa.
Considering that the women are on their best behaviour, the men heave a sigh of relief as nothing suspicious emerges. However, the cracks in Justin and Estelle’s romance widen when he’s presented with footage of her telling a group of single men, in the hot tub, that she wouldn’t mind if Justin had sex with a hot single.
The wheels turn and Justin questions Estelle’s motives, stating: “She’s definitely insecure due to the fact that all her past relationships haven’t worked out, and her former partners always made her look like a fool. I’ve been genuine from day one,” before adding that “she wants me to look like [one of her ex-boyfriends] and break everything.” With Justin slowly losing faith in his romance with Estelle, he might just leave Paradise a single man or with a hot single …
Sifiso the polygamist?
Out of nowhere, Sifiso reveals that he is a polygamist. He’s never mentioned it to his girlfriend Musa or any of the ladies. Sifiso gets lost in his head to the point that he ruins his date with Palesa. He walks away from the wine-tasting session without a concrete explanation, leaving Palesa with a priceless reaction.
Single and ready to mingle
For Nthabi, the episode is about reflecting on her past romance with MJ. After she’s shown clips of him in a full-on relationship with his front-runner Bontle in Episode 6’s bonfire, Nthabi decides to move on. She maintains that their relationship is over.
And with Nthabi single, the guys go all-out to entice her, especially CeeJay. He leaves a rose, his football jersey and a note on her bed that reads: “Wear me tonight.” While she appreciates the gesture, she isn’t ready to jump into any shirts or relationships for that matter. All she wants is to get to know the guys a bit more.
Getting the ick
Millennials always have a new phrase going around. There’s situationship, which refers to an undefined relationship where both partners are confused about their emotions about each other. Recently, Gen Zs have been using the term “getting the ick”. Basically, it’s a sudden and unsettling feeling that a person experiences when they lose interest in the person that they’re dating.
Someone could get the ick following a conversation with their partner, or while kissing them – basically, it can happen at any moment … And it’s Coco getting the ick this episode – she feels smothered by Grant, and she’s irritated when he doesn’t respect her request to spend less time together.
“I kissed a model”
Precious can’t keep her hands off her model front-runner Dain during their hiking date. They kiss not once but twice. Like a love-stricken teen, Precious blushes and giggles after the kiss, saying, “I kissed a model.” Dain’s response? “I kissed the prettiest girl on this island.”
The kiss might return to haunt Precious in the next bonfire when it’s shown to her boyfriend, Grant …
