Renate Stuurman’s real-life boyfriend makes his debut on Unmarried S2
It looks like one of South Africa’s favourite celebrity couples will be acting as lovers on screen. On the latest episode of Unmarried, Brenda, played by Renate Stuurman, met Phelo, played by Vuyo Ngcukana. The two characters had a brief encounter while Brenda was struggling with BK, who was crying uncontrollably.
Phelo came out of nowhere and tried to assist. Although she was hesitant at first, Brenda eventually calmed down after he assured her that he’s a pediatrician. “I work with babies all the time. Can I just have a look at him,” he told her. He managed to get the baby to stop crying and offered to walk with Brenda after advising her not to put the baby back into the pram. “I could walk you to your car if you don’t mind. Just to help you out,” he said. Brenda agreed.
The unexpected scene made viewers very excited as they are fans of the real-life couple.
Renate took to Twitter to congratulate her boyfriend on his debut. “Congratulations @vuyomse, what a perfect introduction to #UnMarried2. I’ve been biting my tongue for months and finally the cat’s out of the bag!! I can’t wait for everyone to get to know the real good doctor and to see you shine.” She also shared a video showing their excitement on the social media platform.
Renate and Vuyo have been together for three years and they are fast becoming one of Mzansi’s “it” couples. We cannot wait to see how their characters will develop on the show.
You can follow their journey by checking out new episodes of Unmarried S2 every Monday, express to Showmax from Mzansi Magic.
