Rick and Morty in the Eternal Nightmare Machine
Season 5 of Rick and Morty starts on 21 June 2021, express from the US, on the Adult Swim corner on Showmax. To keep fans going until then, a Rick and Morty special, Rick and Morty In The Eternal Nightmare Machine, will launch on Saturday, 1 May. In this new and original 8-bit animated adventure, the simulation is corrupt; repair the core!
Rick and Morty won its second Outstanding Animated Program Emmy in three years in 2020 and is currently the 13th highest-rated series of all-time on IMDb, with a 9.2/10 rating from nearly 400 000 fans. That makes Rick and Morty’s second highest-rated animated series of all time, behind only Avatar: The Last Airbender (also streaming on Showmax).
Rick Sanchez is a sociopathic genius scientist who lives with his daughter Beth’s family, constantly bringing her, his son-in-law Jerry, granddaughter Summer, and inherently timid grandson Morty on insanely dangerous adventures across the multiverse.
One of the most-binged series on Showmax, all previous seasons are currently available on the streaming platform.
In the meantime, here’s the trailer for Season 5.
