Roast House episode 1: The most brutal jokes from the roast of Boniface Mwangi
Being a celebrity in Kenya is not easy, one day you’re fighting an unwinnable war with KOT (Kenyans on Twitter), the next, you’re sitting at a club on Koinange Street as a team of roastmasters take turns to make fun of every aspect of your life. The latter, at least, is by choice. Unless, creator Eugene Mbugua has something on the 10 Kenyan celebrities featured on the new comedy TV show Roast House.
The 10-part show which is now streaming on Showmax features a team of comedians from Stand-Up Collective armed with brutal and hilarious roasts aimed at a celebrity in the hot seat.
See below 11 of the most brutal roasts from the first episode of Roast House where activist Boniface Mwangi is on the spot as the celebrity roastee of the night.

On his many troubles with the police due to his activism
“Boniface Mwangi ladies and gentlemen, a jail cell’s wet dream.” – David Macharia
“Bonnie’s entire activism career is basically political BDSM. He keeps going back for more because he loves it (sorry)…he loves us.” – Justine Wanda

On his support for Kenya’s top teamaster Edgar Obare
“They (Edgar and Boniface) have a lot of things in common, Edgar runs BNN, Bonnie runs his mouth.” – Ruth Nyambura

On his ‘failed’ political career

“Bobi Wine went against a dictatorial president for his country’s democracy, Bonnie’s biggest nemesis is the creator of Cobra Squad.” Ty Ngachira
