Robin Hood (2018)
Taron Egerton (Rocketman) stars in this remake of the Robin Hood legend. In this version, Lord Robin of Locksley is living it up with his lover, Marian, when he’s drafted into the army fighting the Crusades by the evil (of course) Sheriff of Nottingham.
Disillusioned with the cruelty of the war, he returns to England only to find his lands seized by the Sheriff. He teams up with an Arab man (Jamie Foxx) and the citizens of the oppressed city to take back what’s rightfully theirs.
The cast includes not only Taron and Jamie, but also Jamie Dornan (Fifty Shades of Grey), Ben Mendelsohn, Eve Hewson (The Knick) and Tim Minchin. The movie was produced by Leonardo DiCaprio and directed by Brit Otto Bathurst.
