The Affair has won three Golden Globes: Best Drama and Best Actress for both Ruth Wilson (His Dark Materials, Luther) and Maura Tierney (E.R.’s Abby Lockhart). The series also stars Golden Globe nominee Dominic West (The Wire, Les Misérables) and Teen Choice winner Joshua Jackson (Little Fires Everywhere, Fringe, Dawson’s Creek).
The Affair holds an 86% critics’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes, where Season 1’s critics’ consensus praises the “smart, creative storytelling and spectacular performances” and the show’s “bewitching exploration of truth and desire.”
