The Bourne Ultimatum (2007)
Secret agent Jason Bourne just can’t stay out of trouble. This is the third movie in the franchise and the amnesiac agent is having flashbacks while running from the cops in Moscow. Problem is that his former bosses at the CIA now know where he is and one of them needs Jason eliminated.
So the hunter is the hunted and that calm-yet-frantic situation comes across clearly with Matt’s portrayal. Jason might be fleeing armed assailants and breathing heavily, but he is thinking clearly, decisively and with ruthless efficiency as he grabs his Operation Treadstone contact Nicky (Julia Stiles) and makes a quick exit before getting a bullet in his head.
James Dyer at empireonline.com is full of praise for the movie: “The best blockbuster of the summer and the most accomplished thriller since Supremacy. It’s the payoff Bourne fans have been waiting for and the standard to which future blockbusters should be held.”
