The Lost Cafe (2018)
The film is a coming-of-age story about a young woman’s determination to chase her dreams and rise above family troubles back home in Nigeria.
Her quest to pursue her dream career starts with her decision to relocate to Norway to further her studies in filmmaking. Little does she know that the move will cause new issues for her. But luckily, she stumbles across a cafe that changes everything.
In 2018, the film was nominated for several Africa Movie Academy Awards for the following categories: Best Actress in a Leading Role, Best Achievement in Sound, Best Nigerian Film, Best Cinematography, Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Film.
The director and producer of The Lost Cafe is renowned Nigerian filmmaker Kenneth Gyang. Kenneth’s impressive body of work includes films such as Game of Life and Mummy Lagos.
