The Queen: Thando and Shaka go their separate ways
It’s been an action-packed month in The Queen. The introduction of the Sebata family has brought more drama than ever before. Their fight with the Khoza family has led to a lot of near-death experiences.
Just recently, Shaka and Thando were engaged and set to spend the rest of their lives together. Even though they’ve known each other for such a short time, Shaka proposed. However, their engagement has come with a lot of unfavourable circumstances that has put their relationship between a rock and a hard place.
But what we’ve learned is that whatever happens, Shaka and Thando still care about each other immensely.
Thando finds out the truth about Shaka
Since Shaka never showed up at their engagement party, Thando has been trying to make sense of his disappearance. She is surprised to find Shaka seated at a warehouse, held captive by her father’s thugs.
One of the thugs is ordered to kill Shaka but Thando confronts her father first, only to learn the hurtful truth that it was her beloved Shaka who shot her during the drug exchange with Noma. Hector makes it clear that Shaka has to die.
A decision needs to be made
Thando is forced to make a difficult decision – to kill the love of her life or to stand by him throughout this entire ordeal.
But before she could make a clear decision, shots are fired – it’s the Khozas coming to rescue their own.
Father isn’t so innocent
After an intense shoot-out between the Sebata and the Khoza families, Harriet manages to calm the situation down so she can talk with Hector.
She confronts him for taking her clients and asks if he’s the one who killed Kea. Thando listens attentively to the conversation and puts all the pieces together to make sense of everything.
One thing is for sure: Shaka and Thando both know that the fight between their families has nothing to do with them. If anything, they are the ones who can put an end to the rivalry.
When Hector tells Thando to forget about Shaka, she tells him that it’s not easy – the same applies to Shaka. While Brutus wants his nephew to move on, Shaka tells his uncle that this is the woman who saved his life when her father wanted him dead.
Will Shaka and Thando give their love a second chance?
Shaka requests to meet Thando and it is clear that he wants to reconcile with her after what went down between their families.
Thando is torn between Shaka and her father. While the feud between their families continues, they both find it difficult to make peace with the fact that their relationship is over. In Shaka’s words: “It’s better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all.”
