The River: Cobra and Zweli discover a dead body
In just one week, we witnessed Walter’s car accident and Cobra’s near-death experience on The River. And, just as we thought it couldn’t get worse, we have a feeling that Malefu might have made a big mistake by “delivering” Walter right into Flora’s arms. If you’re wondering what happened on the show last week, we’ve got a recap for you.
Cobra almost dies
Are we seeing a bromance between Cobra and Zweli? It sure looks like these two are getting too close, and we don’t know how we feel about this between a criminal and a police commissioner.
A few months ago, if you had told us that Cobra would be working with Zweli to solve the biggest crime, we would have probably laughed in your face. One of Refilwe’s biggest criminals working with the police commissioner? Who would have thought that would ever happen? However, it turns out that Cobra is the only person who can help Zweli to find the stolen diamond. Cobrizi, as he’s affectionately known, has a better idea of how criminals operate and knows all the right people in the underworld.
Zweli managed to come up with a plan to lure Goliath and, although Cobra was not feeling the idea at first, he finally agreed to go ahead with it.

We were all hoping that Cobra would save the day after risking his life, but things didn’t really go as planned. The ex-convict could have died after almost being buried alive, all in the name of solving a crime.
At the end of it all, they didn’t get the diamond and Goliath is still on the loose. At least one good thing came out of it all – Cobra realised that he has nine lives and that he’s now stronger than ever. And it’s great that he’s still on board and willing to do whatever it takes to help Zweli with this case. Solving this crime, however, is going to be a challenge, as seen on Friday evening’s episode of the show.

Malefu turns Walter down, again
Remember when we told you about how Malefu wasn’t ready for a relationship? Well, it looks like she still hasn’t changed her mind. Last week, Walter and the mother of three went out on a fancy date, where they spoke about a lot of things, including their past. As expected, Walter brought up his feelings for Malefu once again and he was hoping for a positive outcome. However, he didn’t get the answer he was hoping for as Malefu told him that she wasn’t interested.

Walter didn’t take the news well and he decided to leave Refilwe. Unfortunately, he got into an accident on his way out of town. Although he sustained minor injuries, he still needs someone who will look after him until he’s 100% fine. We were quite surprised when Malefu asked Flora to look after Walter until he is fully healed. Flora, who is still madly in love with Walter, obviously didn’t have a problem with inviting him to stay with her for a while. Will this eventually lead to a relationship? Only time will tell.
