The River: Will Lindiwe’s meddling save Andile’s relationship?
When she found out about Andile and Njabulo’s dilemma, Madlabantu was quite angry. She went straight to Njabulo and gave him a piece of her mind. The confrontation was so intense she even slapped him! Lindiwe reminded Njabulo about his promise to never break Andile’s heart.
Andile blames Lindiwe
And it looks like Andile’s heart is far from being healed. The heartbroken son told his mother that she’s to blame for everything that’s happening in his love life. He accused her of never showing him love. “You broke me. You didn’t show me any love. You made me feel worthless. You! Until Njabulo came and accepted. He took care of me and showed me love. He shielded me,” Andile told his mother.
He added that Njabulo’s love taught him how to love himself. “The same person left me for another person. What am I supposed to do? That same person left me.”
Lindiwe threatens Mondli
After that difficult conversation, Lindiwe had time to think and she came up with an idea that would hopefully save her son’s relationship. She had a meeting with Njabulo and asked him to give their relationship another chance. “Don’t get distracted by a fling. You guys belong together.” Although Njabulo made it clear that he had found love elsewhere, Lindiwe told him that she booked a couple’s therapy session for them to work things out.
She then took things a step further by paying Mondli a visit in his hotel room. She told him to stay far away from Njabulo and threatened him. “Are you listening? I told you to get lost. This thing you have with Njabulo won’t get you very far.” Mondli agreed to do just as Lindiwe asked. However, Lindiwe’s threats didn’t work and Mondli was back in her office the following day demanding his job back. “I’m not going anywhere until I get my job back… You’re looking for a fight, aren’t you? Well, don’t worry, boxing and wrestling are sports in Limpopo,” he told Lindiwe. Does this guy know who he’s messing with?
Lindiwe doesn’t quit until she gets what she wants and after her conversation with Mondli, she headed home to join Andile and Njabulo’s therapy session. But things didn’t go well because Lindiwe kept interrupting the therapist and wouldn’t let the couple have their session in private. When the therapist called her out, she chased her away and vowed to find another person to assist.
After the failed session, Njabulo and Andile were in a good space. Maybe this was just what they needed?
