Uthando Lodumo Season 2: Babes and Mampintsha still committed to their marriage
Although Babes and Mampintsha have been together for more than 10 years, they still run into problems in their marriage. On the previous episode of their Showmax Original reality show, Uthando Lodumo, the couple invited cameras into their therapy session with Pastor Dube. It was a heated one and a lot of issues were discussed.
This week, the lovebirds continued with their session and while it was challenging, they both made it clear that they still want to be together. Babes raised the fact that her husband’s communication skills aren’t that great and that she sometimes finds out about things from other people.
Should Mampintsha tell Babes everything?
“There’s nothing more painful than hearing things about your husband from outsiders, hearing that he’s launching his OS Gin,” she said. Babes continued: “When I ask him about it, he says, ‘oh, I was meaning to tell you about it’. The same launch that’s happening the next day.”
Babes believes that everyone has a breaking point. “It’s starting to annoy me… I am tired of this. Meetings all the time? I’m also going to start attending my own meetings as well very soon,” she joked.
Meanwhile, Mampintsha doesn’t seem to believe that he should be reporting his every move to his wife. “Her main focus should be that I’m on the ground working, not continually monitoring my movements,” the Big Nuz band member shared.
Both Babes and Mampintsha just want to be heard and that’s understandable. However, they seem to be missing one key thing, according to Pastor Dube. “You need to always be friends in marriage. There’s no other friend above Babes. Babes, there’s no other friend that is above Mampintsha. It goes beyond being husband and wife,” he told the couple.
He also reminded them that they’re building a future together.
Making it work against all odds
Pastor Dube also pointed out the importance of communication and sorting out their finances because there’s Sponge in the picture. The proud parents found the session helpful and are of the view that things need to be different now that there’s a child involved.
When asked about his marriage, Mampintsha said: “I love it, I won’t lie. She cooks really well, and I love home-cooked food. I also love that she respects me and allows me to be free.” He even went on to describe their marriage as “lovely”.
“There’s discipline unlike before… We’re living the beautiful and relaxed life that we’ve always wanted. But we both know the importance of working.”
Babes is also still madly in love with her husband. “There’s just a few things we need to work through,” the mother of one shared on the show.
