Wura episodes 53-56 recap: "This is wrong. We shouldn't be doing this."
Don’t you love it when two characters with rising sexual tension finally lock lips and go, “we shouldn’t be doing this?” Of course, they don’t stop. They lean more into whatever dangerous affair they shouldn’t be having. That is almost the case of Lolu and Adewale in this week’s Wura.

Mandy’s cousin has only started living with the Adeleke’s for a few weeks, but he is already working his way into Lolu’s heart. Lolu is marrying Mandy in a few weeks and Adewale is her favourite person in the world, but both men are more interested in each other. It will be interesting to see how she handles things when they inevitably blow up, especially as the marriage is the only condition for Frontline Gold Mine to get the rights to the river of gold.
I am gay

Lolu and Adewale kissed! They both immediately recognised it shouldn’t have happened. “This is wrong, we shouldn’t be doing this,” Adewale cautions. “You’re about to get married to my cousin, who is practically my sister.” Lolu apologises and tries to leave. Adewale pulls him back. “Shouldn’t we talk about this?” he asks. But Lolu doesn’t want to.
It is typical of Lolu, who often acts like things just happen to him, not that he perpetuates them. He avoids Adewale throughout the week, refusing to talk about what happened. When Adewale forces him to talk, he blames it on alcohol. But Adewale, like Femi, has a relaxed relationship with his sexuality. So, at a casual family discussion, where Tony and Wura discuss marriage with the kids, he says something Lolu might never tell his parents: “I am gay.”
Iyabo’s sorrows

No one has suffered more on this show than Iyabo. Her husband was murdered; her first daughter was almost kidnapped; her last child was actually kidnapped, and her first son was shot while rescuing his sister.
The woman is broken, so she turns to the almighty.
“Father, I need your help. Show me the way because I don’t know where to go,” she cries to God before crying about missing her late husband. “Olusegun, why did you leave me? I don’t know how to take care of our children, should we stay here and die, or run?”
She is now paranoid. She changes the lock to the house and won’t allow Ebun to go to school alone. But there is a bigger problem. At dinner, she tells her children not to eat hurriedly because their father is coming back. When Tumi reminds her their father is dead, she shouts at her. “Tumi! Stop joking about death.” Her pain has gotten so deep that her mind provides comfort, teaching her to live in denial.
Percy’s big sacrifice
Everyone thinks Biggie died during the shootout with Mide and Percy, but the police didn’t find his body. And that can only mean one thing.
Detective Kolapo, who is overseeing the case, thinks Mide was involved with Biggie in the heist at the mine. While interrogating Mide, he informs him they know he is involved with Biggie and other criminals because his gun has been used for several crimes.
But the firearm was initially Percy’s. He convinced Mide to buy it but didn’t inform him that his criminal friends had used it. While they discuss at Paulina’s bar, Kolapo and his men arrive to arrest Mide for illegally possessing a firearm linked to several crimes. However, Percy steps in.
“It’s my gun. I lent it to Olumide when I found out his sister was missing,” Percy tells Kolapo. “I swear on my life, it is my gun. You can check for my fingerprints.”
