Jaw-dropping quotes from Life With Kelly Khumalo: part 1
Love her or hate her, Kelly Khumalo will say and do whatever feels right to her. After being in the entertainment industry for almost two decades, the award-winning singer has learned the art of staying true to herself, even if it means rubbing some people the wrong way. Season 3 of her hit reality show Life With Kelly Khumalo has only been on air for a few weeks and she’s already said some things that have left our jaws on the floor. Let’s take you through some of Ms Khumalo’s fire diary session quotes.
Don’t disrespect Kelly
You’ve probably seen that Kelly and her ex-boyfriend Jub Jub are not on the best terms. Their relationship was filled with a lot of drama and although they broke up years ago, they do have a child together. However, since returning from prison, Jub Jub hasn’t been part of his son’s life and he’s made it known that he’d like to be involved. But Kelly isn’t convinced.
In one of her diary sessions she spoke about how the TV presenter sent her a Mother’s Day message on social media. “I know a man who wants a relationship with his child when I see one. I will never stand in the way of that. However, don’t disrespect me.”
We don’t like you
While Kelly seems to have a lot of respect her late boyfriend, Senzo Meyiwa, she doesn’t seem to care much for his family. And that’s not because she hates them or anything like that, but it’s due to the fact that they don’t want her or her child.
In episode 2, Kelly briefly spoke about Christian’s school situation. Her son was found in possession of marijuana and got into trouble. That story was somehow leaked to the media and Kelly believes that the person or people who did that are trying to paint her as a bad mother. But she has a warning for them: don’t think she’s stupid or naïve because she’s not!
“I know exactly where that came from and what the intention of that was – try prove her as a bad mother, I’m far from it. I’m really far from it. You can take me to court if you want to, I will win with flying colours,” she said. We can’t help but wonder who would do such a thing and what they have to gain.

A low blow
Kelly has been called many names on social media over the years and that’s enough to make anyone sad. Despite having been hated and painted as a bad person, and even losing her boyfriend in a tragic way, nothing has killed Kelly’s spirit like her fallout with her sister, Zandi.
They haven’t had a relationship for the past three years and Zandi even went as far as “divorcing” her sister through a statement on social media. That broke Kelly, who went on to reveal in a diary session: “Nothing has ever hurt me as much as my sister. That was a low blow.”
