Ma’Empress
Created by the same team that brought you Sue na Jonnie, Ma’Empress is a brand-new comedy about five urban queens navigating through love, struggles and friendship with a mix of comedy, drama and everyday Kenyan life.
Kalasha winner Catherine Kamau plays the role of Eve, a timid, stay-at-home mom of two children, who’s more than a little OCD. Her exact opposite is Renee, played by Neomi Ng’ang’a (Sumu la Penzi), a confident, larger-than-life TV personality who gives as good as she gets.
Then there’s Tasha (Brenda Mwai, the host of Our Perfect Wedding S1) who is intellectual and analytical but wishes she was more about beauty. Which is ironic, because Zawadi (played by Nyokabi Macharia) is all about creating beauty! She’s an artist, outspoken and relaxes with mihadarati.
Last but unforgettable is the glamorous Crystal (Minne Kariuki) who is an influencer, a party girl and a total socialite. Five very different women. Hundreds of situations you can relate to!
