It’s no surprise then that the show clinched the award for Best TV Series and Best Picture Editor. The series follows Inspectors Kelechi and Danladi of the fictional Serious and Special Crimes Unit as they solve gritty crimes in the bustling city of Lagos.

3. Ricordi, winner Best Original Drama Series

What do you get when you mix some of Nollywood’s hottest stars on the rise and a spicy script? An AMVCA-award-winning drama series! Produced by BBNaija alumna Diane Russet, Ricordi follows a group of young people and their complicated love lives.

4. Njoro Wa Uba, winner Best Original Comedy Series


Leaving the shores of Nigeria and crossing into Kenya, Njoro Wa Uba clinched the award for Best Original Comedy Series. The show follows Njoro on his journey and daily struggles as an educated cab driver.

5. Mpali, winner Best Original Telenovela

Beating out hot favourites like Itura and Covenant, Mpali went on to emerge as the Best Original Telenovela. The Zambian series revolves around a rich polygamist, Nguzu who has six wives. His home appears to be peaceful until he marries another woman named Tamara, his sixth and youngest wife.
