Single Kiasi episode 10: Buried hurts resurface
Single Kiasi episode 10 delves into how buried pain can influence future actions.

Mariah’s trauma pushes her to almost murder her stepfather, who sexually assaulted her, but she doesn’t go through with it. It is not worth it; the guilt from such an act will only compound her agony. She instead opts for something braver: forgiveness. But even that doesn’t go too well with her mother, who watched her husband abuse her only daughter.
“Mariah, you strut around like a peacock and act shocked when a man reacts like a man,” she screams at her daughter.

It’s unimaginable, but a mother blames her child for being assaulted by her father.
But Mariah isn’t the only one whose suppressed trauma has resurfaced. Rebecca’s fantasy with Nick might be ending as he isn’t the angel she hoped for. Remember the wife who called and Nick said was a crazy fan? It seems she isn’t a fan – she might be crazy, though, but that’s what terrible men do. This woman crashes Sintamei’s presentation to a potential investor because she assumed Mei is the one sleeping with her “husband”.

Rebecca confronts Nick again, and he whips out the “she’s a crazy fan” line, but she’s not having it. Never again will a man make a fool out of her. Could Nick be telling the truth, or are Becky’s fears and paranoia justified? We will find out in the next episode of Single Kiasi.
