The Real Housewives of Durban Season 2 episode 6 recap: Nonku claps back at Jojo and Londie’s “intervention”
Real friends will always keep it 100% honest with you, even if it makes you uncomfortable. That’s what The Real Housewives of Durban Season 2 episode 6 taught us, at least. While the cast members aren’t the best of friends just yet, it seems like they do have each other’s best interests at heart. This week, Jojo decided to invite Nonku to her house in an attempt to get to know her. She also invited Londie over so that she could see a different side to Nonku, and hopefully understand her better.
Intervention time
Jojo believes that there’s a side to Nonku that people don’t know. “I really think we should have a talk with her; I know you were against it but I really do like her,” Jojo told Londie. Although she was apprehensive, Londie decided to honour Jojo’s invite and showed up to her house and they waited for Nonku to turn up. But the evening turned into an intervention as soon as Nonku arrived.

The first thing the single mother did was ask for something to drink. Jojo then brought up the those cheating statements Nonku made at MaKhumalo’s black-tie event. Well, Nonku didn’t appreciate them going back to the past as she thought everyone had moved on after she apologised. “I’m not changing my statement. What I said, I meant. What I said to you on that quiet day, I said to you it was not offensive to anyone in any way.”
Jojo replied: “It’s not offensive because you don’t have a husband.” Ouch!

Put some respect on Nonku’s name
The conversation was starting to feel like an ambush as Londie brought up Nonku’s drinking. “We were actually talking about how you’re always drunk at our gatherings.” Nonku was taken aback and felt that “drunk” was a big word. According to Londie, Nonku always looks drunk. “That’s very offensive. Can I please have some water and more wine? Let’s get drunk! Can I show you what drunk is?” Nonku said sarcastically.
She added: “The nerve. They called me here to tell me rubbish.” She told Londie that she had no right to say she was drunk because they didn’t even know each other like that.
“You don’t know me, Londie. You’ve never seen me sober, you’ve never seen me drunk.”

While the ladies accused Nonku of being drunk on a number of occasions, she believes that that wasn’t the case. “I know myself, I was not drunk. I’m a hyper person. So for them to say I was drunk, that’s their own business.”
Nonku said she felt like the wives were judging and attacking her. Is she right? Follow the ladies’ journey on The Real Housewives of Durban Season 2.
