The Real Housewives of Durban Season 2 episode 9 recap: Nonku gets something off her chest
It’s been a tough couple of weeks for all of the ladies leading up to The Real Housewives of Durban Season 2 episode 9 – especially considering what happened in episode 8.
A lot of regrettable things have been said by all parties involved, things that should probably never be repeated. However, it seems like the ladies can’t seem to let go of a few sensitive subjects that have led to many disagreements.
One of those sensitive subjects has to do with Nonku. For the most of the season, she has become a topic of discussion and the businesswoman has had it with her co-stars and decided to call a quick meeting to address them.
This all went down at Jojo’s Jochella party, which was meant to be a fun and drama-free event. She hosted the ladies to a Coachella-inspired party and went all out to ensure that it was a night to remember. It will definitely be remembered but not for the reasons Jojo was hoping, unfortunately.
Is Nonku being unfairly judged?
Towards the end of the event, Nonku told her cast mates that something was bothering her. “It’s been bothering me for some time now. This thing that Sorisha said to me is echoing in my mind.” Earlier that day, Sorisha pulled Nonku aside and reminded her about her promise to give up alcohol. “I just wanna make sure that you’re doing it,” Sorisha said. Nonku felt that someone had sent Sorisha to say that to her.

She explained during the meeting: “Sorisha came to me earlier, and it’s not the first time.” Nonku mentioned that Londie and Jojo had also questioned her before. “I feel that I’m being judged as if I’m a junkie. I just wanna set the record straight and I’m not even looking for your opinions or whatever you wanna say.”
She told the ladies that she knew who she was and that she was a responsible mother. “I’m a businesswoman, alright? And my reputation matters because I have people that respect me in the workplace. My children respect me.” Nonku strongly feels like the ladies always lack something to talk about when they are together. She asked: “Why am I always the topic?”
Don’t pretend like you care
Londie tried to make Nonku understand that they were not coming from a place of judgement but were only acting as concerned friends. That’s why they were asking her all those questions.

Well, Nonku is still adamant that she’s never been drunk and told Londie where to get off. “Don’t sit there and pretend like you care about my wellbeing, because you don’t… I know for a fact that they are not concerned.”
She added that Londie was trying to make herself look good at her expense. Nonku then stormed off and didn’t want to hear anything the ladies had to say after that. And just like that, the party was ruined.
