The Real Housewives of Lagos episode 12: It’s the end of the road for Chioma and Carolyna
It’s the season finale and the gbas gbos is on another level.
In The Real Housewives of Lagos episode 12, it’s none other than bougie BFFs Chioma and Carolyna who give it to each other hot-hot on the show.
We also see some of the ladies get vulnerable as they reach out to their families for emotional support. Not to mention the surprise announcement we got at the end.
From the tears to the heart-to-heart conversations, and a friendship on the rocks, here’s how the season finale of The Real Housewives of Lagos went down.
Mariam has us screaming God When?
Mariam gave us a God When moment after recapping her early dating days with her husband.
The mother of one shared how her husband’s persistence eventually won her over after Chioma shared her wish to marry a man like her father.
“My husband snuck his way into my family, he met everyone. I would come back from work and see him in the living room.”
A very emotional Mariam went on to share how his unflinching support while she was in the hospital for a fibroid surgery made her realise he was the man for her.
“I’ve never really had someone that would stand by me like that. If I’m not happy, he’s not happy. That’s when I realised ‘what am I looking for outside?’,” she recounted in tears.
We stan a consistent man who puts the needs of his partner first.
Iyabo and Carolyna come for each other
In the wake of what we’ve pieced to be a fight between Carolyna and Iyabo, Chioma places a call to her mother and sister.
In tears, Chioma narrates how Carolyna lashed out at Iyabo, who then physically attacked Carolyna. As a good friend, Chioma stepped in the way to prevent Carolyna from being hit, but got shoved aside and even sustained some minor bruises.
Meanwhile, in her room, Laura, who is pleased not to be on the receiving end of the drama this time, is narrating the fight to her friend, Celine.
As Laura aptly summed it up, wahala be like bicycle.
Chioma and Carolyna have a gbas gbos moment
And so it happened that our longest-standing ship capsized in the high sea.
O ma se o.
Trouble started after the ladies decided to lounge by the pool after playing in the water at Toyin’s pool party. Chioma confronts Carolyna over her fight with Iyabo, and expresses concern over the fact that she attacked Iyabo, who has always been nice to the ladies. According to Chioma, “I’m a very loyal friend but in my loyalty, I need to know that one day you’re not just going to turn on me for no reason.”
Chioma then accuses Carolyna of lying about her apology to Iyabo. According to Chioma, she was the one who convinced Carolyna to apologise to Iyabo. Carolyna insists that she was already remorseful about the situation. Before we can say Jack Robinson, the situation degenerates into a shouting match, with Carolyna revealing that Chioma once called Toyin and Iyabo “razz”.
Ghen ghen.
The ladies go on to accuse each other of lying, with Carolyna stating that Chioma was the reason she had issues with Laura, while Chioma responds with, “I should have let them beat you up”.
Friendship in the mud.
Meanwhile, in her diary session, Laura states that she’s feeling “vindicated” seeing as her “enemies” have not only fought, but Chioma is saying she’s on Laura’s side now.
Toyin announces her pregnancy
After the chaos of the pool party, the ladies pull up in style to the desert for a bonfire, sans Carolyna.
After the ladies settle in, Toyin announces that she found out on the trip that she’s pregnant. Talk about ending things on a high.
While teasing from the ladies on not taking a break, given how young her last child is, Chioma taps into the blessing of the pregnancy as they toast to good vibes and friendship.
