The Real Housewives of Lagos episode 2: It’s all vibes and Insha Allah

Just when we thought our queens on The Real Housewives of Lagos episode 2 were ready to unleash the gbas gbos, they switched gears on us and served vibes and Insha Allah with a side of shade; because what is #RHOLagos without some epic shading?

From a bonding yoga sesh to a fun outing at the beach, here’s all that went down this week.

Spoiler alert!

Toyin gives it to Laura hot hot

Anyone who has followed Toyin Lawani-Adebayo over the years knows that the fierce fashion queen does not hide her mouth. So we were not surprised when she confronted Laura over her cold demeanour at Eleora’s product launch event.

“Why do you act like a winsh?” Toyin fires at Laura.

Laura, however, is not backing down and insists that her attitude at the event was “very deliberate” and it’s not long before we learn the reason for her coldness.

“I wasn’t feeling the crowd!” Laura retorts.

“Next time tell me Chioma is coming, next time tell me Carolyna is coming.”

Wawu! Drama is that you coming ahead?

Just when we think Laura cannot possibly throw any more shade, she restates to Toyin that she won’t be attending Iyabo’s beach party because “we’re not friends”.

Okay, Laura, we give it to you, you’re definitely the drama.

Chioma and Carolyna bond over yoga

In The Real Housewives of Lagos episode 1, we saw Chioma and Carolyna bond over the fact that they’re both born under the sign, Cancer. This week, the ship continues to sail as the pair take their brewing sismance a step further with a yoga session at Chioma’s poolside.

But it wasn’t all stretches and namaste for the ladies, as they quickly delved into Laura’s matter right after yoga.

Chioma opens the floor asking Carolyna what she thought of Toyin’s event, to which Carolyna responds that she’s not happy with the fact that she wasn’t informed properly of the event, and also Laura’s late arrival and keeping to herself just felt off.

Concurring, Chioma shares that the Laura she sees on Instagram was a complete departure from the Laura she met at the event.

“The Laura that I see on Instagram is super bubbly, always dancing seems overly confident so to see her in person and she’s so shy, so timid, over there in her corner, not talking to anyone I don’t know what to make of that.”

Could this have something to do with Chioma referring to Laura as a Good Hair customer rather than a friend? We definitely have our eyes peeled on these two.

Iyabo Ojo is every Nigerian mum

What is a conversation with a Nigerian mother as a young, single woman, if the issue of marriage and grandchildren doesn’t come up?

Iyabo and her daughter, Priscilla have a nice mother-daughter mother chit-chat on her upcoming 21st birthday, and true to the Nigerian mother national code, the conversation soon turns to the issue of marriage.

“Before she’s 25 Priscilla must get married; I want my grandchildren early,” Iyabo declares during her diary session.

Issokay.

The Real Housewives of Lagos take the beach

As a true Minister of Faaji, Iyabo has rented a party bus to convey the ladies to the beach house, and of course, our faves have done the most with their outfits.

The trip to the beach and their arrival at the resort see the ladies bonding and generally having a good time.

On arrival at the resort, the ever cheeky Carolyna announces that she wants a room far away from everyone in case she wants to use her dildo.

Okay, sis, we see you.

At dinner, Carolyna reveals that the worst thing she’s heard about herself on social media is that she married for money, which she states is not true because according to her, “I actually didn’t know this man’s worth.”

This, of course, has everyone on the table side-eyeing her, with new bestie Chioma saying during her diary session “It’s believable but of course, it’s hard to not know what Danjuma is worth.”

Sismance in the mud!

Meanwhile, Carolyna maintains that she cannot marry anyone who isn’t wealthy because she’s all about the luxury life.

“He doesn’t have to be Elon Musk rich, I think that’s tiring but I don’t mind a Kanye West rich.”

Nuff said.

A game of ‘The Land of No Return’ sees the ladies unwittingly reveal their inner thoughts about each other.

In the game, a question about a fellow castmate is whispered in the ear of one person who then mentions the person they think the question refers to. The others now have to guess what the question is. Soon enough, the ladies reveal things like who they think is most likely to have sex on the first date, who acts like they have more money than they actually have, and who is most likely to snatch another person’s man.

Our queens mostly have a good laugh over the game, but will the revelations have far-reaching consequences down the line? Your guess is as good as ours.
