The River: Andile’s headed for a broken heart
After being away for a couple of months, Njabulo has finally been reunited with the love of his life. He recently made his way back to Andile after coming back from Argentina, but it’s not the kind of reunion anyone would have hoped for.
While Andile is happy to have his fiancé back and is even planning their wedding, Njabulo is not on the same page. It turns out, when he was overseas, he fell in love with another man and things seem pretty serious between them.
The plan was for him to return to South Africa and break things off with Andile. But things didn’t go according to plan because immediately after his return, Njabulo was informed that he would be getting married in four weeks.
That caught him by surprise, and he had to explain to his unhappy new boyfriend, Mondli, that he hasn’t had a chance to break up with Andile. Honestly, how do you tell your excited fiancé that you no longer want him? Things are going to be extra difficult for Njabulo because Mondli has now been hired as a geologist at Khanyisa Diamonds.
He has to get his acting game on because he lied and told Andile that Mondli’s just a friend he met in Argentina. Will Njabulo come clean about his newfound love or will he continue to play with Andile’s heart?
Cobra’s secret love child
We weren’t really surprised to learn that Cobra has another child he hasn’t been taking care of. The child’s mother, Bontle, visited the Mokoena household accompanied by Tshabalala. She told Cobra that she’s tired of taking care of their troubled teenage son, Morena, and left him there.
Cobra now has to man up and step up as a father because the young man needs him. Although he doesn’t have much experience as a dad, Cobra seems to want to make things right this time around. Will having a teenage son change Cobra for the better? Only time will tell.
Is Nomonde gone for good?
While others are reuniting with their parents, Nomonde has parted ways with her family. After being rescued from Mantwa, Nomonde made her way back home with her father. However, it was not the kind of reunion she was expecting. Zweli told her that he had had enough of her and advised her to go to her grandmother in Cape Town.
“You’re my daughter. You’re the only one I have left. I’ll always love you, okay? But this is the last time I’ll see you. Today is the last time I see you. If you were sorry, you’d have come back for Mbali’s funeral. If you were sorry, you wouldn’t have lied to us. If you were sorry, you wouldn’t have stolen from us… You’ve broken my heart,” he told Nomonde. And just like that, she was gone.
Will we be seeing Nomonde again? Well, you can find out on Showmax. New episodes are available shortly after the 1Magic broadcast.
