The River: Lindiwe kills Gail, but still loses
If Lindiwe thought that getting Gail out of the picture would make all her problems disappears, she couldn’t be further from the truth. While her plan to get rid of Gail worked, she didn’t anticipate how her plot would affect her loved ones, including her ex-husband and children. In case you missed what went down on The River this past week, here’s a recap.
The Angolans come after Gail
We all know how hard Lindiwe has been working to get her family back. This is the same family she lied to and manipulated for years! Anyway, after realising that she was going to lose her beloved Zweli forever, Lindiwe pretended to be Gail and made the wrong people angry, knowing very well that they would come for the bride-to-be.

While the Angolans were planning to take Gail out, she was looking forward to the most important day of her life and was excited about becoming Mrs Dikana. The wedding finally happened, despite the drama that Lindiwe caused. Did we mention that she came dressed in a white dress? Oh, desperate times! Zweli was livid and made her change into another outfit.
Not even that little stunt was strong enough to stop the wedding. Lindiwe watched as Zweli made vows to Gail, telling her just how happy she makes him. We reckon this is the happiest Zweli has been in a very long time. All seemed perfect and for a moment we thought it would stay that way.
Diva Judith Sephuma even made an appearance at the wedding – and she was amazing.

Gail dies and Zweli’s life hangs in the balance
But it wouldn’t be The River if there wasn’t drama, right? Just as everyone was celebrating Gail and Zweli’s union, the Angolans arrived and turned a beautiful day into a nightmare. They demanded to see Gail and she was just as surprised as everyone else. What on earth could this be about?
There was huge chaos which ended in a shoot-out. While Zweli and Zolani were fighting against the rebels, Zweli asked Lindiwe to take Gail upstairs in order to protect her. They made their way to the bedroom and just as Gail was thanking Lindiwe for saving her life, Lindiwe confessed that she was responsible for everything. Before Gail could even react to the shocking news, Lindiwe shot and killed her.

Lindiwe made it seem like Gail was killed by one of the rebels that she had shot earlier. She thought the rebel was dead and put the gun in his hand. What she didn’t know, though, is that the guy wasn’t dead and when Zweli walked in he shot him. Zweli fell to the ground right next to his dead bride. Who is to blame for all of this? Lindiwe, of course. She now has to live with the consequences of her actions. Yes, she got Gail out of the picture. But at what cost? From where we’re sitting, Lindiwe is the loser in all of this.
Although Lindiwe has removed Gail out of the picture for good, she could lose the one person she fought to keep.#TheRiver1Magic
