The River: Lindiwe wants to make things right with Tumi

We’ve seen a lot of sides of Lindiwe Dlamini-Dikana since The River first started in 2017. She’s been strong, dominant, mean, ruthless and a powerhouse. She also proved to be quite the fighter when she found herself down and out a few months ago, and even managed to get herself out of poverty and straight back to the top. However, we never expected to see her in a state where it looks like she’s slowly losing control of her life.

Dambisa breaks Lindiwe’s heart

It all started after Dambisa said some mean words to the mining mogul. Double D was obviously upset after her sister-in-law exposed the fact that she had used all the family stokvel money. After the truth came out, Dambisa had to make her way back to the Eastern Cape. But before she left, she and Lindiwe exchanged a few nasty words and Dambisa hit Lindiwe right where it hurts and reminded her about throwing Tumi away when she was just a baby. Her words cut deep and Lindiwe hasn’t been the same since.

The businesswoman has been struggling to keep it together and has been crying herself to sleep. Just to show how absentminded she has been, Lindiwe even lost control of her car while driving around with Zolani and she almost killed pedestrians. Zolani was freaked out and decided to reach out to a prophet in order to help her aunt. The prophet told Lindiwe that a lot of blood was going to be shed in her household. The prophet also told Lindiwe that she could make everything disappear just by breaking the bond that she shares with Tumi. It will cost her an arm and a leg, though.

However, Lindiwe is not interested and told the woman to leave her house. She said she’s tired of running away from the Tumi matter and vowed to make things right with her.

Will Lindani and Tumi get married?

Meanwhile, Tumi is having drama of her own back in Refilwe. Tumi, who just got engaged to Lindani, is having a rather bittersweet experience; she’s celebrating on one hand, while she’s also stressed by the fact that Lindani’s mother wants nothing to do with her. After hearing that her son had proposed, Zodwa made her way to Refilwe to help with the lobola negotiations.

However, her excitement quickly changed when she discovered that Lindani’s planning to marry a Mokoena child. Zodwa still hasn’t forgiven the Mokoenas for how they treated her daughter, Paulina, when she and Cobra were still married. She also has a problem with the fact that Tumi is a divorcee and has told both Lindani and Paulina that there will be no wedding.

Will Zodwa manage to stop Tumi and Lindani’s wedding?  You can stream The River on Showmax to find out. New episodes air 15 minutes after the DStv broadcast.
