The River: The Dikana adventure turns into a nightmare
It’s been a very hectic week on The River! In just a few days, we saw someone being killed by a lion, Zweli being bitten by a snake and Flora saving the day. If you’re wondering what exactly led to all the drama, we’ll gladly fill you in.
To celebrate the beginning of a new year and a new decade, Zweli decided to take his family on a holiday. He also invited Flora, Dimpho, his step-daughter Tumi, and her brand-new husband, Lindani. Lindiwe and Zolani were also supposed to tag along but they opted to go to New York instead. Lindiwe thought the Big Apple would cheer Zolani up since he’s been nursing a heartbreak. Don’t you wish you had an aunt like Lindiwe? She might have her flaws, but we admire how she cares about her loved ones.
Zweli and the kids’ drama
So, while Lindiwe and Zolani jetted off, the rest of the family drove to a fancy lodge. However, what was supposed to be a nice break ended up being a very traumatic experience for some people. After settling and getting comfortable, Zweli, Mbali, Andile, Njabulo and Beauty thought camping would be a great experience, and set out into the bush. Things got off to a fun start, but it quickly turned into a nightmare. The game ranger they were with was bitten by a lion, leaving the family alone in the wild.
The family was stuck in the middle of nowhere without the cars and had no idea how to get back to the lodge. While trying to find a way out of that mess, Zweli got bitten by a snake. Fortunately, he survived.
Flora to the rescue
While all this drama was happening, Flora, who was having the time of her life, could sense that something wasn’t right. Although Tumi and Dimpho brushed off her concerns, Flora decided to follow her gut and go and look for them. Thankfully she got there before things could get any worse and she saved the day.
We’re glad that everyone got home safely after all that chaos! To catch the latest drama follow The River on Showmax. New episodes air 15 minutes after the DStv broadcast.
