The River: Will Mbali survive?
We’re still trying to catch our breath after last week’s episodes of The River. There has been so much drama, especially with Mbali and Faith’s storyline. Oh, and a lot of fans have been dying to know when Lindiwe will show up again. If you missed it, we’ll do a recap just for you.
Mbali’s life at risk
We believe it’s universally true that no parent ever wants to lose a child. And we’re afraid that Zweli would never be able to handle the possibility of losing his youngest daughter, Mbali. Though she . managed to survive being stabbed by her kidnappers, she might not be out of danger yet – and her father could be the reason why.
The kidnappers instructed Zweli to give them money in exchange for his daughter’s life. The police commissioner managed to raise some of the cash and was all set to deliver it. However, he messed up when he left it unattended inside an elevator. Here is where it gets interesting – he left the cash at the wrong building and the kidnappers managed to get to it, while Zweli failed to rescue Mbali and her friend, Faith.
The young ladies found themselves in a desperate situation and the only way out was to escape. They quickly ran out of the apartment, while their captors chased after them. We all watched as Mbali made the choice to jump to the ground because that was her only option. Now the question here is: will she follow through? Well, whether she jumps or not, her life remains in danger.

When is Lindiwe coming back?
While the storyline has been captivating for the past couple of weeks, viewers are still wondering when their favourite villain, Lindiwe Dikana, will be coming back. In case you’ve forgotten, the former mining boss disappeared after her husband chased her out of her home. We haven’t seen or heard from her since. Her children and husband have been trying to reach her, but their calls have been going straight to voicemail. No one knows where she is or what she and Zolani are up to.

We doubt that Mbali would be in this mess if her mother was still in the picture. It will be interesting to see if she makes an appearance this week, and whether she’ll be able to bounce back.
If you’re as curious as we are about what’s going to happen next, make sure you tune into The River on Showmax. New episodes air 15 minutes after the DStv broadcast.
