The Rookie S1-5

The LAPD’s oldest rookie, John Nolan (multiple People’s Choice Award winner Nathan Fillion from Castle and Firefly) is ready to take on a new role as The Rookie enters its fifth season. But first, he’ll have to face off once again with serial killer Rosalind Dyer (the late Annie Wersching, who played Renee Walker in 24 and the Borg Queen in Star Trek: Picard, and voiced Tess in The Last of Us video game). 

Meanwhile, Chen (Melissa O’Neil (Dark Matter, Condor)) and Bradford (Days of our Lives’ Rex Brady, Eric Winter, from The Mentalist) go undercover in a bid to bring down a major criminal enterprise alongside Alyssa Diaz (Ray Donovan’s Teresa). But the assignment may hold unanticipated risks… for Chen and Bradford’s hearts. It’s lining up to be a tense season for Nolan’s heart too, as an old enemy zeroes in on Bailey (Teen Choice Award winner Jenna Dewan from Superman and Lois). 

Chicago P.D.’s Vanessa Rojas, Lisseth Chavez, joins the cast as rookie Celina Juarez , and look out for guest appearances from the likes of Grammy winner Kelly Clarkson, NSYNC singer Lance Bass, James Lesure (Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce, Good Girls), Felicia Day (Geek & Sundry founder and Fillion’s co-star from Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog), veteran Emmy nominee Veronica Cartwright (The X Files, ER), and Streamy Award winner Flula Borg (Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin, The Suicide Squad). Plus, look out for a crossover event with The Rookie: Feds in episode 21.

The Rookie was nominated for its second Emmy for Outstanding Stunt Coordination earlier this year, and has maintained a consistent 8/10 score on IMDb, with Season 6 greenlit for next year.
