The Wife Season 3 episodes 13-15 recap: A private jet for Naledi
The Wife Season 3 episodes 13-15 dropped right after last week’s tragic ending that left us all astounded. It’s a new day at the Zulu mansion and a traditional healer has come to cleanse the house following Mandisa and Ndumiso’s demise in the Zulu premises. The whole family vows to move forward with grace and Qhawe has big plans for himself and Naledi. Meanwhile, chief Kgosi soon realises that the ancestors have turned their back on him. Will he take heed of the messages from the ancestors or will he continue with his selfish and cunning ways?
The ancestors are not happy
When Kgosi visits a family traditional healer to seek counsel regarding dreams he’s been having, he’s met with shock and disappointment. The chief of the Royal Thabeng is warned about a dark cloud hanging over his family. Ratladi tells him that the ancestors have turned their back on him for trying to force Naledi to marry against her will. He continues to reiterate that for Naledi to commit to chieftaincy, she has to accept the calling on her own without being forced.
The daughter of the chief of Royal Thabeng is caught between two worlds and her loyalty to both prevents her from seeing the truth. She doesn’t know that her father is a monster and she is also oblivious to the fact that her love, Qhawe, is a violent criminal. Will she soon open her eyes to the truth for what it is? And will she ever find the power to stand up to her father?
Qhawe takes things to the next level
Qhawe wants to take things to the next level with Naledi but the Tswana doctor seems to be having second thoughts after seeing how Mandisa died. Another reason she is not committed is that she knows very well that her father will never bless their union.
When Qhawe brings up the marriage conversation, Naledi doesn’t waste time asking him to take things a bit slow. “You know I love you, right?” asks Naledi. “And I love what we have. We shouldn’t rush … I still want to marry you but not now. For now, I just want us to enjoy what we have. Just the two of us.”
Determined to see this marriage come to life, Qhawe shares his plans with his older brother Mqhele and asks for his help at Royal Thabeng. The Zulus’ unexpected visit to the Montsho family isn’t received well. Although hesitant at first, chief Kgosi allows them to come in but he is still angry at the commotion the Zulu brothers caused the last time they were in his territory.
Things get really tense when the Zulu brothers suffer disrespect from Kgosi, who reminds them of the trauma they went through at a young age. They immediately leave with their tails between their legs.
Date in the sky in a private jet
Qhawe orchestrates a romantic trip across the skies with Naledi. He decides to reach out to Naledi’s sister, Tshedi, whose mission is also to get herself chieftaincy, so this comes at a perfect time for her. Remember when the good samaritan came to Qhawe’s rescue when he was locked up in the dungeon? This was Tshedi doing what she had to do best to nudge Naledi away from obtaining the chieftaincy title.
This means helping Qhawe will ensure that she gets closer to her dream of becoming a princess. She tricks her sister into believing they are going shopping, but little does Naledi know what her Zulu man has in store for her.
Qhawe’s attempt to do things right failed dismally and Naledi wasn’t happy with his actions. But in true Zulu style, he makes up for it but not just by saying sorry. He has a private jet waiting for them and plans to fly her to Zanzibar. It takes a few moments for Naledi to realise that this is Qhawe’s way to say sorry and she wastes no time accepting his apology.
They kiss and make up on a private jet and things get a little hot as the two star-crossed lovers give us yet another steamy sex scene.

This week on The Wife Season 3, Qhawe steps up and takes things to another level. Yup, the Zulu brother is already thinking about marriage, having kids, and a happy family with Naledi. With chief Kgosi not approving of this union, the Zulu brothers will have to do more to make things right. The last time they were at Royal Thabeng, things went awry. Will they get a different reception this time?
When we say the Zulu brothers are built differently, we mean it. Some apologies come in the form of brand-new cars and restaurants in Hlomu and Mqhele’s case. But for Qhawe it’s a private jet for Naledi, and a trip to Zanzibar with his love just to say sorry. The Wife episodes 13-15 are streaming on Showmax, with new episodes dropping every Thursday.
