Bae Beyond Borders episode 6 recap: It’s down to the final hour
After spending a few weeks in Nigeria in attempt to find love, Vuvu, Nande, Mali and Zezethu had to go back home to South Africa. But before doing that, the ladies were tasked with making the final decision on which gents they would be taking to Mzansi. The ladies met with the guys to deliver their final judgement and things didn’t turn out as expected for some people.

The bearer of bad news
Chidubem was the first guy to hear the bad news. Nande told him during their video chat: “I think us as a couple or trying to work our thing out is obviously not going to work.” And just like that, it was the end of the road for Chidubem.

While he seemed a bit disappointed, he wasn’t surprised as he saw this coming. “We don’t want the same things and that’s fine. No hard feelings,” he told Nande. While things didn’t work out with Chidubem, Nande chose to give Daniel a chance to go home with her. He was obviously happy with this and told her, “Hundred percent.”
A tough choice
Luciano was the next lucky guy as he was picked by Mali to go to Cape Town with her. She made up her mind after their amazing date. “You literally swept me off my feet. It was the best date I’ve ever been to.”

He agreed, of course. “I am so excited. I enjoyed our date… I’m cool now. I was so nervous,” Luciano told her. This was a tough choice for Mali, and she had to drop Amazn, unfortunately. “It was lovely meeting you,” she said after breaking his heart.
Things also didn’t end well for Joshua. Vuvu told him that because of his age, she wouldn’t go for him. “Realistically, I don’t know if it would work out. I know age is just a number, but unfortunately, I would have loved to get to know you. But for that reason, I’m going to have to pass and pick someone else.”
It is what it is
Joshua didn’t seem upset as her understood Vuvu’s reasoning. “It is what it is, you know? I don’t care about the age thing, and I understand where you’re coming from, you know? So, it’s fine,” he said.

Vuvu also told Eric that she wouldn’t be going for him. “I still don’t know if you are genuinely here to really try and be in a relationship.” He responded: “You don’t have to explain all these things anymore because you’ve made your decision. And I feel like I totally respect whatever decision you’ve made.”
It turns out, Vuvu’s heart was with Chidubem. “After my call with Nande, I had my second call with Vuvu. And I’ll be going to South Africa with Vuvu,” Chidubem told the gents.
Kingsly and Zezethu had a light-hearted goodbye as they both knew that theirs would just be a platonic relationship. The South African native invited Peter to come home with her. No surprise there. He accepted the invite, and they were both looking forward to what the future would reveal.
