Big Little Lies S2 is coming to Showmax
- Season 1 is available to binge-watch on Showmax if you need to catch up.
- Season 2 arrives on Showmax and DStv at the same time – every Monday night at 21:00 for seven weeks, until 22 July 2019. Stream episode 1 right now.
The second season of award-winning HBO drama Big Little Lies will be hitting South African screens later this year – and Meryl Streep is joining the phenomenal cast. The teaser trailer has just been released and we are instantly transported back into the drama of Monterey, with its wealthy elite and the secrets they keep.
Based on the novel of the same name by Liane Moriarty, the first season starts off in a police interrogation room. Strange place for a show about upper-middle-class mothers, right? Not when everything is revolving around a murder that has shocked the town and its residents. At the outset, viewers not only don’t know who the main suspect is – they don’t even know who the victim is.
As the first season progresses, you discover that there are all sorts of dark secrets in the picture-perfect town. When it launched, there was no hint that there’d be another season, but we’re so happy that there is!
When is Big Little Lies S2 showing in South Africa?
The big news is that Big Little Lies is coming express to M-Net, and starts on Monday 10 June at 9pm. It will be showing at the same time on Showmax.
While you wait, binge-watch the first season here.
