Born into Fame: Did Phila overstep a boundary by texting Owami?
It looks like Phila has broken bro code. This comes after the TV personality broke a rule made clear to the guys earlier on the show. While the guys and girls share a similar experience of having famous parents, that doesn’t mean that they can go after each other’s siblings. Not in the romantic sense, at least.
However, Phila seems to have crossed the line after sending Owami a “drunk” text message. The message, according to Owami, read: “’If I were to kiss you, would you stop me?’ Or something like that.”
Friendship etiquette

Owami shared that she told her older brother about the message. She told Shamiso that her response was, “yeah, I don’t work like that.” Shamiso was shocked by this. “I’m confused because I thought Phila was in a relationship. He’s out here being a fiend, while we’re getting to know each other as boys.” Owami, on the other hand, doesn’t know if Phila was being serious. At the end of the conversation, Owami and Shamiso made a toast to not giving the boys what they want.
While the boys aren’t getting what they want from the girls, AJ needed to get answers from Phila. During one of their conversations, AJ brought up Phila’s text to Owami and said: “I don’t know if you don’t see me, or you weren’t listening when I was talking. At the strip club, there’s two conversations that I had with the gents. What were the conversations?” Phila replied: “About your sister, it’s like this… You were just talking about bro code.”
Crossing boundaries

AJ asked if Phila texts Owami, and he confirmed that he does talk to her. He then asked Phila to share what he said to her in a recent text. “You’re not even man enough to admit what you said. You’re old for this,” AJ said. He didn’t like that Phila asked about kissing his sister. “You don’t know the conversations that I have with her… You’re reading your sister’s texts, you don’t talk to your sister like I talk to your sister,” Phila replied. Phila explained his side of the story, sharing that the interaction was after he had sent Owami flowers after one of her shows.

“I speak to your sister… It doesn’t matter if I was drunk or not. AJ feels like his feelings are invalidated because he asked me not to mack on his sister. But because I didn’t, I feel like he’s being a child. I’m really not interested in his childish tantrums right now.”
Phila refused to apologise because he feels that AJ didn’t get the full picture. Tank, who was also part of the conversation feels that Phila has broken bro code. “I see what the fact it, it’s you reaching out to the sister,” Tank told Phila. “There’s boundaries,” he added.
