The collab between two of SA’s favourite rockers comes to Showmax
When two legends of the local rock world collide on a single stage, you know there’ll be sparks. Francois van Coke and Karen Zoid’s live show Toe Vind Ek Jou had audiences all over the country in awe, and now the recorded version is available to anyone who missed the show, and those who’d like to see it again.
During this high-energy rock show, Francois and Karen sing some of their duets, as well as hits from their solo careers and songs from the Fokofpolisiekar and Van Coke Kartel days. The concerts followed on the immense success of their hit duet Toe Vind Ek Jou.
It was the first South African and Afrikaans song and album (Francois van Coke’s self-titled debut solo album) that reached the number-1 spot on the iTune charts at the same time, and the song reached platinum status after more than 20 000 downloads. The Toe Vind Ek Jou music video was watched over a million times within six months of its release on YouTube.
If you want to find out what the fuss is about, watch the concert now on Showmax.
Turn the volume all the way up for a proudly South African rock show in the comfort of your own home. (Plus, look out for a brand-new Karen Zoid documentary, coming to Showmax later in August.)
